Navigate between notes in the measure, change pitch or drum sound, toggle rests and ties, and delete notes from here.
Pitch & duration
Step, accidental, octave, and note type controls.
Pitch row: Letter (C–B), accidental (♯ ♮ ♭), and octave buttons. When: Fixing a wrong note or transposing one pitch within the measure. Tip: Percussion parts show drum chips instead of pitch letters.
Note duration
Change rhythmic value and dotted notes.
How: Scroll the duration row and tap a note type. Toggle the dot for dotted values. Tip: Changing duration may reflow other notes in the measure — check the validation indicator.
Articulations
Staccato, accent, tenuto, and marcato marks.
What: Performance markings attached to the selected note. How: Tap Stac, Acc, Ten, or Marc in the articulation row. Tip: Only one articulation mark applies at a time per note.
Dynamics
Add p, f, crescendo, and other dynamic marks.
How: Tap Dynamics → choose a marking. It attaches near the selected note in the measure. Tip: Use measure Text for words like "rit." that span multiple notes.
Rest & tie
Convert the note to a rest or tie it to the next note.
Rest: Tap Rest to replace the note with a rest of the same duration. Tie: Tap Tie to link this note to the next note of the same pitch.
Drum sounds
Pick the percussion instrument for this note.
When: Editing a percussion or drum-kit part. How: Tap Snare, Kick, Hi-Hat, etc. The note head updates on the staff. Tip: Turn off Rest before choosing a drum sound.
Delete note
Remove the selected note from the measure.
Deletes only the selected note. Use measure tools to remove entire measures.
