Annotation Editor
Draw, highlight, and mark up your scores.
The annotation editor lets you draw on your scores with professional tools. Your annotations are saved automatically and sync across devices.
Move Tool
Pan and zoom without drawing.
Use the move tool to navigate your score without making marks. Default mode when not actively annotating.
Select Tool
Select and edit existing annotations.
Select annotations to move, resize, or delete them. Drag selection handles to resize shapes and text.
Pencil Tool
Freehand drawing with pressure sensitivity.
Draw with your finger or Apple Pencil. Enable shape recognition (magic wand) to auto-convert drawings to shapes.
Highlighter
Semi-transparent highlighting.
Highlight notes, dynamics, or text with semi-transparent color. Great for marking difficult passages or important sections.
Text Tool
Add text annotations to your score.
Add text notes, rehearsal marks, or conductor instructions. Customize font size and color as needed.
Stamps
Musical symbols and custom stamps.
Insert dynamics (ff, pp, mf), articulations, and other symbols. Stamp library is customized based on your instrument settings.
Eraser
Remove parts of annotations.
Erase portions of pencil and highlighter strokes. For other objects, use Select tool and delete.
Ruler
Draw perfectly straight lines.
Position the ruler, then draw along it for perfectly straight lines. Great for bar lines, crescendo marks, and brackets.
Color Picker
Change annotation color.
Choose from preset colors or create custom colors. Color applies to pencil, highlighter, text, and shapes.
Shapes Panel
Draw geometric and musical shapes.
Choose rectangles, circles, arrows, and musical markings like slurs, ties, crescendo, and brackets. Tap a shape, then draw on the score.
Brush Styles
Save and reuse brush presets.
Create presets with your favorite colors and stroke widths. Tap a preset to switch tools instantly.
Layers
Organize annotations by layer.
Personal, shared, and practice layers keep marks organized. Toggle visibility per layer or reorder annotations.
Undo
Undo your last action.
Undo recent drawing strokes or changes. Multiple undo levels are available.
Redo
Redo an undone action.
Restore an action you just undid. Only available after using undo.
Clear Page
Remove all annotations from current page.
Removes all annotations from the current page. Use with caution - this action can be undone.
