Measure toolbar
Copy, paste, and edit whole measures.
Switch measures with arrows, run measure actions (time signature, repeats, rehearsal marks), and manage annotations.
Copy measures
Copy one measure or a range to the clipboard.
Copy Range lets you tap start and end measures. Paste inserts the clipboard after the selected measure.
Copy range
Copy several consecutive measures at once.
How:
- Tap Copy Range in the measure toolbar.
- Tap the first measure, then the last measure in the range.
- Tap Paste to insert after your current measure.
Paste measures
Insert copied measures after the selection.
The label shows how many measures are ready to paste. Confirm to avoid overwriting by mistake.
Add measures
Insert measures before, after, or duplicate the selection.
Before / After: Inserts an empty measure adjacent to the selected one. Duplicate: Copies all notes and signatures from the current measure. App bar grid icon: Use "Add measure at end" without selecting a measure.
Delete measure
Remove the selected measure from the score.
How: Select a measure → tap Delete → confirm. Tip: Copy the measure first if you might need it later.
Time & key signature
Change meter or key starting at this measure.
Time Sig: Sets beats per measure from the selected bar forward. Key Sig: Sets sharps/flats for this measure and following ones until the next change.
Repeats & navigation
Repeat bars, codas, and rehearsal letters.
Repeats: Opens navigation marks for segno, coda, and repeat endings. App bar menu: Set repeat start/end on the selected measure. Tip: Rehearsal marks help bands find sections quickly.
Measure text & marks
Add lyrics, expressions, and rehearsal letters.
Text: Free-form words above or below the staff. Rehearsal: Letter or label (e.g. "A") shown in a boxed mark. Edit: Tap an existing annotation in the toolbar list to change or delete it.
Transpose measure
Shift all notes in one measure up or down.
When: Fixing one bar in a different key without transposing the whole piece. How: Select the measure → Transpose → choose semitones or interval.
Drum pad
Quick entry grid for percussion parts.
What: Tap pads to place drum hits in the selected measure. When: Faster than add-note mode for kit parts.
Drum patterns
Insert preset rhythmic patterns into a measure.
How: Tap Patterns → preview a groove → apply to the current measure. Tip: Edit individual hits afterward with the selection toolbar.
