Accessibility Statement
At SyncSheets we treat the accessibility of our website and app as part of the service itself, not an addition to it. We work so that anyone can use the service, understand its content and contact us, regardless of disability, technology or way of using the web.
The standard we build to
The website has been made accessible in accordance with Chapter C, Regulation 35 of the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013, and with Israeli Standard IS 5568 Part 1 at level AA, which is based on the W3C's WCAG 2.0 guidelines.
The site has additionally been tested against WCAG 2.1 level AA, which extends the standard with requirements for narrow-screen display, text spacing and target size.
Despite our efforts to make the entire site accessible, occasional and unintentional deviations from the standard may occur, including as a result of ongoing content updates.
What has been done
- All content and actions are reachable using a keyboard alone, in an order that matches the visual order.
- Every focusable element has a clear, visible focus indicator.
- Text and background contrast ratios have been measured and corrected to meet the standard, in both light and dark display modes.
- Every form field has a visible, persistent label rather than placeholder text alone.
- Error messages are announced by screen readers as soon as they appear, and are placed next to the field they concern.
- Headings follow a correct hierarchy, and landmark regions allow quick navigation between parts of the page.
- Every page begins with a "skip to main content" link, revealed during keyboard navigation, allowing the navigation menu to be bypassed.
- Every meaningful image has alternative text.
- The site can be zoomed, have its text spacing adjusted, and be displayed on a narrow screen (down to 320 pixels wide) without loss of content or functionality.
- The site honours the operating system's reduced-motion preference.
- Pages presented in Hebrew are correctly marked for language and writing direction (RTL).
The SyncSheets app
Our service also includes the SyncSheets app for iPad, iPhone, and Android tablets and phones.
The testing described in this statement was carried out on the website. A full accessibility review of the app against IS 5568 has not yet been completed, and we are working to complete it. We do not want to claim a level of accessibility we have not verified.
Until that review is complete, and at any time: if you have difficulty using the app, please contact us using the details below. We will help you and provide the information or service in an alternative form. Your reports are what tell us which fixes matter most.
Accessibility arrangements in our service
You can contact us using any of the methods below to receive information or service in an alternative form, whether on the website or in the app, including help completing a sign-up or receiving content that is not accessible to you.
Known accessibility limitations
We would rather list what is still outstanding than make a blanket claim:
- Screen reader testing: automated and keyboard testing have been carried out. A full manual pass with screen readers (NVDA / VoiceOver) has not yet been completed across every page.
- The app: as noted above, a full accessibility review of the app against the standard has not yet been completed.
- Third-party content: the site embeds external components such as tutorial videos. We do not have full control over their level of accessibility.
- Documents and graphical content: sheet music files (PDF) uploaded by users are user content and are not made accessible by us.
We are continuing to fix and improve. If you encounter a problem that is not listed here, we would very much like to hear about it.
