Library

Every PDF and MusicXML you import lives here — organized, searchable, and ready to open.

Your sheet music library

Every PDF and MusicXML you import lives here — organized, searchable, and ready to open.

The library is home base. Imported scores appear as cards or rows. Tap any piece to open the viewer. Use folders on disk, collections in the sidebar, and search to stay organized as your library grows.

  1. Import with Add Score or share a file into SyncSheets.
  2. Long-press pieces for move, share, or edit info.
  3. Use the bottom tabs to switch to setlists, calendar, or bands.

Main Library

The default library view with every piece you imported.

Main Library shows all your pieces in one place. Use it when you want to browse everything, then narrow down with search, folders, or collections.

Bookmarks section

Quick jump points saved from the viewer.

Bookmarks are rehearsal anchors. They remember exact pages so you can reopen difficult sections instantly without scrolling through a whole chart.

Collections section

Virtual groups for projects or gigs without moving files.

Collections behave like playlists: one piece can appear in many collections. This keeps your file structure clean while still letting you plan performances.

Library menu tour

A guided walkthrough of every item in the ⋮ menu.

You will see Search, folders, collections, nearby sharing, tuner, metronome, settings, and help — one explanation at a time.

Menu — Search

Find pieces fast by title, composer, or tags.

Search is the quickest way to locate a chart in large libraries. Combine search with collections and folders when preparing a specific rehearsal set.

Menu — New Folder

Create real folders on disk to organize your files.

Folders are physical organization. Unlike collections, moving a piece between folders changes where it lives in your library structure.

Menu — Collections

Open the collections drawer quickly.

This shortcut opens the libraries drawer so you can switch collections, create a new one, or return to Main Library in one tap.

Menu — Nearby Sharing

Send and receive pieces over local Wi-Fi.

Nearby sharing discovers SyncSheets devices on the same network, so you can transfer files quickly without using cloud upload.

Menu — Tuner

Open the tuner without leaving Library.

Launch the chromatic tuner directly from the library, then return to your charts immediately.

Menu — Metronome

Start the metronome app quickly from Library.

Opens metronome controls where you can set BPM, accents, and practice timing before performance.

Menu — Settings

Configure appearance, input tools, backup, and sync.

Settings is where you manage theme, instruments, pedal behavior, data, and help tours.

Menu — Help & Feedback

Open support resources and send product feedback.

Opens in-app help and support links. You can also send feedback to improve SyncSheets.

Add your first score

Import PDF or MusicXML from Files, iCloud, or Share into SyncSheets.

Every performance starts here. Import a PDF for reading and annotation, or MusicXML for editable notation. You can also share a file from Mail, Files, or another app directly into SyncSheets.

  1. Tap Add Score (or + when you already have pieces).
  2. Choose Import File and pick PDF, MusicXML, or .mxl.
  3. After import, tap a piece to open the viewer.

Grid and list view

Switch how pieces and folders are displayed in the library.

Grid view is best for browsing covers and spotting pieces quickly. List view fits more titles on screen and works well with search filters.

  1. Tap the grid/list icon to switch layouts.
  2. Your choice is remembered for this device.

Cloud sync status

See whether your library is synced with SyncSheets Cloud.

When signed in, changes upload in the background. The indicator shows progress or errors. Open it to manage account sync from Settings.

  1. Tap the sync/cloud icon in the toolbar.
  2. Sign in if prompted, then return to the library.
